My goal is to use less lines and be more decisive.
The model and supervisor had to keep telling people to stop taking pictures. Made me realise how weird it is to do life drawing in a public space with onlookers.
Strangely, this wasn't a problem with the male model last week...hmmmm

i didn't catch the model's name unfortunately. it was an old man. it's nice having some age diversity. i wish i depicted the folds of his skin more clearly.
before the session started, a group of old women behind me were discussing the best way to steal a painting.
"she has a secret mahjong club..."
"it's geriatric mean girls, that's what it is."
I guess there was some drama
while drawing the sun was shining directly at my face. there was also some guy constantly clearing his throat. it wasn't a very comfortable drawing session.
i also discovered the reference library tucked in the corner of the floor. they have all the whitechapel books! so many art books! you cant take anything out though. its only open on wednesday to friday 1-5pm

couldn't go to my usual life drawing session because i had to attend a stupid networking thing.
writing blog posts is very enjoyable! it's nice having a space to express myself in words. ⋆｡˚ ⋆

i've been trying to do a "stretch and sketch" every day.
that means doing at least one fifteen minute stretch and one sketch of a person each day.
i managed do it for all five weekdays!!
i considered my life drawing to be friday's "sketch"
